These pieces were created in response to the events of Charlottesville and the visibility given to extremism in America. I wanted to recreate the ceremonial feeling of intimacy created and the unclear delineation of sides.

The accompanying images connect the rise of MMA submissions as accepted mainstream forms of entertainment.

Now legitimatized, extremism can be properly color-coded and politicized by partisan factions.
