Porcine Partisan Posturing is inspired by the increasing inability of elected officials to collaborate in pursuit of the common good. Public service has too often been eclipsed by self-promotion, while special interests exert disproportionate influence over the political process. As a result, the needs of working-class communities—those whose labor sustains and serves society—are frequently marginalized. In an era where social media has become a primary platform for political visibility, personal branding increasingly competes with the responsibilities of governance, raising questions about the nature of contemporary public service.
